Family First NZ is calling on all New Zealanders who oppose the Marriage (Definition of Marriage) Amendment Bill that is scheduled to have its Third Reading in Parliament on Wednesday 17th April 2013, to go online (see link below) and make a “Marriage Pledge” that:
(1) they will not use their electorate vote to vote for an electorate MP who supports changing the definition of marriage, and
(2) they will not use their party vote to vote for a party whose leader supports changing the definition of marriage.
Family First states in an explanatory note assures those making the pledge:
“BUT THEY CAN’T IGNORE YOU AT THE BALLOT BOX! In fact, it’s the one time that they DO have to listen – so they will take notice of this”

This movement is an attempt to modify an historic and basic institution to condone an unnatural situation; a different name may be acceptable to some, but the bastardisation of the institution of marriage is NOT acceptable in our society.
To quote Winston Churchill “Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning. ”
LGBT are only just feeling comfortable expressing their sexual orientation and in many countries are still killed and tortured for being something they cannot change. The marriage bill is just another step toward being treated as equal members of society.
The institution of marriage has been bastardised since history was first recorded and some people will continue to do so but that will not be limitied to the LGBT community but will contine to encompass a vast majority of male/female relationiships.
Even the bible makes a mockery of marriage with many references to unions that any member of SPCS should abhor.
