Judge says “It’s important that people understand that the trade in pornography must be stopped…”

April 25, 2014 by SPCS Leave a Comment

A Hamilton judge has labelled a man’s collection of “extreme” sex videos the worst he has encountered in his 37-year legal career.

So bad was the “disgusting” collection – which featured torture, bondage, bestiality and child rape, Judge Robert Spear said a deterrent message had to be sent to others that may follow David Robert Miles‘ “curiosity”, and sentenced him to 13 months’ jail.

“The videos portrayed what might loosely be described as pornography at its most gross level. It involved sex offending involving very young children; it involved bestiality and torture.

“I have to tell you that with some 37 years of appearing or presiding over criminal courts and having to deal with cases of this nature, this is without question the most disgusting material that I have ever had to deal with. [Read more…]

Porn Star Quote

April 25, 2010 by SPCS Leave a Comment

Porn star quote

From http://manawatu.christian-apologetics.org.

Steve Crow is back on the prowl in Palmerston North and Whanganui. When in Whanganui, he got egged, and even seems to admit that it is legal for Joe Public to express himself using such projectiles!

“We had one idiot throw some eggs at me,” Crow told reporters afterwards. “He did a good job, that’s alright. Freedom of expression, he can do that.”

The picture above is from PORN FREE STREETS, and has the following caption:

“Even soft-core pornography portrays women as sex objects who exist only to give sexual satisfaction to men. They are ‘pets’ or ‘playmates’ valued only from the neck down. Many porn addicts now admit they find it hard not to view women as chunks of meat because of viewing pornography.” (Shelley Lubben (a.k.a. “Roxy”), former porn actress)

Given that large numbers of men are addicted to porn, I wonder how female readers here feel about being viewed as ‘meat’? How does this affect relationships? How does a ‘meat’ addict view you in a relationship? What happens when you get the wrinklies and lose that porn-star figure you once had?

Porn King Steve Crow, Vixen Direct Ltd, Phoenix Companies and Criminal Sanctions

October 3, 2009 by SPCS Leave a Comment

The Companies Act 1993 defines a phoenix company as being, in relation to a failed company, a company that at any time before or within five years after the commencement of the liquidation of a failed company, is known by a name that is also a pre-liquidation name of a failed company or is a similar name. When phoenix company arrangements are established in which the new company created bears a similar name, similar assets and similar management structure to a failed company, the purposes of such companies are usually part of a scheme either to circumvent obligations to creditors of the failed company (avoid debts owed) or to mislead the public into believing they are dealing with the same entity as previous, possibly as part of an attempt to mislead creditors of the previous company.
