A Statement on Christian Marriage and Sexuality – in light of New Zealand’s Same-Sex Marriage Law.

  1. God made human beings as male and female to reflect his image within creation (Gen. 1:27). It is the complementary relationship of a man and a woman that is foundational to marriage in the created order (Gen. 2:23-24). Sexual perverts act as predators by ‘sextorting’ kids online

Online predators are increasingly resorting to “sextortion” – blackmailing child victims into providing explicit images.

Internet safety watchdogs say they are seeing new trends in the methods used to extort kids as young as eight into sending pictures of themselves to perverts, who often masquerade as youngsters online. [Read more…]

Kiwis bombard banned child-porn websites

Millions of Kiwis are bombarding blacklisted child-sex-abuse sites to request access to illegal videos and photos.

Experts say New Zealanders seeking child pornography are increasingly demanding younger victims and more violent abuse.

“Some people confuse these images as being virtual, but they are real images, they are crime scenes,” said Alan Bell, national director of ECPAT, which is dedicated to ending the commercial sexual exploitation of kids. [Read more…]

NZ’s Web Filter run by Department of Internal Affairs

NZ’S WEB FILTER

The digital child exploitation filtering system was introduced in March 2010 to make it more difficult to access child sex abuse images online.
