The newly updated and reformatted Companies Office website was officially opened at 8 a.m. Monday 28 June 2010. It reveals as at 3 July 2010 that for Truth Publications Ltd (In Liq) – “There are outstanding filing obligations in relation to this companys insolvency”. The company was put into liquidation on 21 October 2009 and the Liquidator’s initial report highlighted that $622,000 was estimated as owed to “unsecured creditors and subordinated lenders”. Truth Publications Ltd (In Liq) “owes $622,000”
On 3 November 2009 The NZ Herald reported that “Truth publisher owes $622,000? – based on the Liquidator’s First published report registered on the Companies Website on 29 October 2009.
“The 105-year-old NZ Truth [of which both “Dermott Malley and John Pin, were both directors and indirect shareholders”] has … gone into liquidation owing lenders and creditors more than $600,000.
” ‘It is unlikely there will be a distribution to creditors,’ he [the liquidator Lloyd Hayward] said.
“Unsecured creditors and subordinated lenders are owed $622,074 and include New Zealand Couriers, Warehouse Stationery, Vodafone, Mercury Energy and the New Zealand Herald.”

Chief Censor Bill Hastings appointed District Court Judge – NZPA
Chief Censor Bill Hastings has been appointed a District Court judge and will head the new Immigration and Protection Tribunal, Attorney-General Chris Finlayson announced today.
Mr Hastings is handing over his duties as chief censor, an appointment he has held since 1999, and the Department of Internal Affairs is starting a recruitment process for a replacement.
Until a new appointment is made Deputy Chief Censor Nicola McCully will hold all the powers of chief censor. [Read more…]
Chief Censor’s Office refuses to ban Derty Sesh Video Clip in latest decision
The Derty Desh rap music video “Let Me Introduce Myself/Forever” opens with “graphic violence” involving the depiction of “the frenzied murder and dismemberment of a young woman by the hooded figure of the rapper” (accompanied by the rap track “Let Me Introduce Myself” and “offensive language”). The rap track “Forever” follows, accompanied by “images that show a young woman stalked and the hooded man summarily disposed of. The terrified woman is taken to a shack in the woods and attacked by the same hooded man.” The frenzied sexual violation of the woman is implied in the images and by the music that tends to glamorise the attack. 50% of HWGA Co. Ltd shares now registered in name of David Bruce Crow
Stephen (Steve) Peter Crow resigned as sole director of HWGA Company Ltd on 15 May 2010, the same day his brother David Bruce Crow of Inglewood and sister Leanne Marie Osborn of Fitzroy, New Plymouth, were appointed directors. Steve Crow resigned on the day after he was banned for four years from being a company director anywhere in Australasia and was by the Ministry of Economic Development which served the banning order on him on14 May 2010. On 15 June David Bruce Crow, the new co-director of HWGA Co. Ltd, registered 50% of its shares in his name (They were previously all registered in the name of Dermott Malley, CEO of Truth Publications Ltd (In Liq) which is reported to owe lenders and creditors $622,000 (see ref. 1).
