Banned Company Director Steve Crow knocks .xxx Porn domain – 3News

Porn king Crow labels .xxx domain a timewaster. 28 May 2010  By Daniel Fraser

New Zealand porn king Steve Crow has labeled the new ‘.xxx’ domain “a waste of time”.

This comes after the internet oversight agency, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), opened consultations on the ‘.xxx’ domain.

It is being proposed as an easier way to filter out pornographic content.

Steve Crow, NZX & Brass Magazine Porn Shoots & Downfall of Golf Boss

The Sunday News first broke the sordid news that the circulation of graphic sexually explicit images of Garth Stirrat in Steve Crow’s R18 magazines NZX and Brass Magazine had left his New Zealand Hotel Council bosses “at a loss for words”. Within one week of being appointed to the position of CEO of the NZHC, Mr Stirrat had resigned over the sordid and scanalous revelations concerning his past. However, the story of his involvement with Steve Crow and John M Carr’s hardcore porn publications, where he had posed under the name of “Steve Parnell” had just led to his resignation from a prior position he held for six years as CEO of the New Zealand Professional Golf Association, an incorporated society with about 300 members at the time. Hardcore porn involvement had forced Stirrat to resign from two top positions in quick succession, despite the fact that the Chief Censor Bill Hastings had approved the videos and magazines he ‘starred’ in, classifying them R18.

John Malcolm Carr – Liquidation of Brass Magazine Ltd – and Porn Spin

On 27 August 2008 Brass Magazine Ltd, directed by John Malcolm Carr (see photo links below), was put into liquidation by order of the Auckland High Court. It published the hardcore porn magazine BRASS. One of the company’s creditors, PMP Maxum Ltd, was the applicant to the Court that successfully forced the liquidation of the company – a process that ended on 27 August 2009 when the company was struck off the Register.

The purchase of all the shares of Brass Magazine by CVC Group Ltd, co-directed at the time by John Malcolm Carr (appointed director of CVC Group on 3/12/07 and currently its sole director), was registered on 28 March 2008. (Stephen Peter Crow and Shirish Daddaram Vagal, the other two directors of CVC Group were appointed on 29/11/05 – and both resigned in May 2010). [Read more…]

Stephen Peter Crow – Prohibition Dates for Banned Porn Company Director

Stephen Peter Crow was listed today, 28 May, 2010, on the New Zealand Companies Office Website as a Banned Director and Manager of Companies, effective from 16 April 2010 and ending on 16 April 2014, due to his offences committed under section 385 of the Companies Act 1993. His residential address is listed as are the companies he has directed which were central to his offending. Two are still in liquidation and two have recently been struck off the register following the completion of liquidation proceedings. The disqualification number assigned to Mr Crow is No. 0010025. In clear breach of the banning order he remains sole director of three other companies HWGA Company Ltd, Vixen Publications Ltd and Sidefx Ltd.
