Steve Crow, banned company director, promotes porn sleaze on city streets

On Wednesday 11th August at 12.30 pm banned company director Steve Crow and Miss Erotica 2010 will be heading a parade of scorpion tanks, motorcycles with bare-breasted pillions and vehicles down Queen Street Auckland – in order to promote Crow’s failing hardcore pornography empire. Eden Digital Ltd directed by John Malcolm Carr, a San Antonio Texas based CPA, is the business entity linked to the parade of tawdry titillation that promotes a forthcoming three day event – Erotica Lifestyles Expo – featuring a collection of imported US-based porn stars, sex toys and lewd acts. On Thursday 12th August at 12.30 pm the same boringly predictable parade will head through Hamilton city streets.

Steve Crow is intending to hand out $250,000 worth of free vouchers to those attending the porn parades, so they can purchase hard core pornography DVDs marketed by his failing business Vixen Direct. [Read more…]

John M Carr – director of Eden Digital Ltd, a hardcore porn promoter

John Malcolm Carr (see photo links below) is sole director of Eden Digital Ltd (formerly called Vixen TV Ltd) which imports and distributes hardcore pornography sleaze publications into New Zealand.

His former co-director Stephen (Steve) Peter Crow was recently banned for four years from being a company director, or being involved in the management or promotion of a company, by the Ministry of Economic Development. Eden Digital Ltd is currently distributor of many hardcore porn DVD titles including four recently classified R18 by the Office of Film and Literature Classification in its June 2010 List of Decisions. All have been given the descriptive note “Contains explicit sex scenes”. The censors required one of these DVDs originating from the United States to be cut to remove its depiction of objectionable content that promotes urination in conjunction with sexual activity. The DVD in its excised version contains an additional component not present in the unexcised version – a Notice promoting the hardcore NZ porn magazine NZX founded and promoted by “Porn King” Steve Crow.

John M Carr, who holds US citizenship and owns a number of NZ registered companies, has had a financial interest in the importation and promotion of hardcore porn sleaze for many years, working closely with his friend Steve Crow, who until his recent 4-year ban, co-directed CVC Group Ltd with him. CVC Group Ltd, directed by John M. Carr, owns Eden Digital Ltd. Eden Digital Ltd has its registered office at 2/18b Triton Drive, Albany, Auckland 1025 – a property owned by PJ Digital Ltd, a company directed and owned by John Malcolm Carr. Mr Carr gives his own residential address for the latter company as Flat 14 Remuera Mews, 31 Green Lane East, Remuera, Auckland, 1050 (Checketts McKay Trustees Ltd is the trustee of this property). PJ Digital Ltd has its registered office at Unit 13, 33 -35 Apollo Drive, Mairangi Bay, Auckland , New Zealand.

50% of HWGA Co. Ltd shares now registered in name of David Bruce Crow

Stephen (Steve) Peter Crow resigned as sole director of HWGA Company Ltd on 15 May 2010, the same day his brother David Bruce Crow of Inglewood and sister Leanne Marie Osborn of Fitzroy, New Plymouth, were appointed directors. Steve Crow resigned on the day after he was banned for four years from being a company director anywhere in Australasia and was by the Ministry of Economic Development which served the banning order on him on14 May 2010. On 15 June David Bruce Crow, the new co-director of HWGA Co. Ltd, registered 50% of its shares in his name (They were previously all registered in the name of Dermott Malley, CEO of Truth Publications Ltd (In Liq) which is reported to owe lenders and creditors $622,000 (see ref. 1). John Malcolm Carr – Liquidation of Brass Magazine Ltd – and Porn Spin

On 27 August 2008 Brass Magazine Ltd, directed by John Malcolm Carr (see photo links below), was put into liquidation by order of the Auckland High Court. It published the hardcore porn magazine BRASS. One of the company’s creditors, PMP Maxum Ltd, was the applicant to the Court that successfully forced the liquidation of the company – a process that ended on 27 August 2009 when the company was struck off the Register.

The purchase of all the shares of Brass Magazine by CVC Group Ltd, co-directed at the time by John Malcolm Carr (appointed director of CVC Group on 3/12/07 and currently its sole director), was registered on 28 March 2008. Answer: Shirish Daddaram Vagal of Bucklands Beach Auckland has just resigned as director of porn ‘mother company’ CVC Group Ltd. The resignation was registered on the Companies Office website by Steve Crow on 19 May and made effective from 14 May 2010. Steve Crow who resigned as director on 15 May 2010 was served a banning order on Friday night 14 May, preventing him holding a company directorship for four years in Australia and/or New Zealand, issued by the Ministry of Economic Development. These two resignations leave John Malcolm Carr – in the proverbial sense – ‘holding the [porn] baby’ – as he is now the sole director of porn ‘mother company’ CVC Group Ltd and the sole director of hardcore porn company Eden Digital Ltd. (Mr Shirish Vagal and his wife Gulshan Shirish Vagal still own 180,000 shares in CVC Group Ltd).
