John M Carr – Director faces charges in Auckland District Court on 31 Aug (updated)

The Auckland District Court has confirmed today that at 10am on Tuesday 31 August 2010 a prominent American citizen and Company Director, John Malcolm Carr (see photo links below), will face eight charges in Courtroon 2 in the Auckland District Court brought against him by the Ministry of Economic Development (MED). Neither he nor his lawyer Alan Bevan McKay of Checketts McKay Law (Cromwell) turned up to a Court fixture set down for 12 August 2010. Mr McKay sent an email to the Court that day seeking an adjournment of the hearing until 31 August, which was granted.

John M Carr and B.B.S. Land & Property Development Inc.

John M Carr (see photo links below) is President and Director of B.B.S. Land & Property Develpment Inc. (Tax ID 17424831992) which was incorporated in Texas on 11 December 1987 and is currently “in good standing not for dissolution or withdrawal through May 17, 2010”. The registered agent of this active domestic for profit corporation is recorded on the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) Records as Christina De Russo who gives her address as 22588 Scenic Loop Rd, San Antonio TX 78255. However, this is the very same address given by Mr John Malcolm Carr in his role as co-director with President Angelika G. Carr of B.B.S. Charities, Inc. (Tax ID 30114169250: Employer ID 74-257-9109), a tax exempt entity of which he is treasurer, secretary and registered agent (see www.bbscharities.org and refs below).

John M Carr CPA – Carr Consulting P.A. and Fraud Examination

Fraud: “Wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain” (Oxford Pocket Dictionary of Current English).

John M Carr CPA (see photo links below) was once a director and 99% owner of the New Zealand registered company “Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Limited“. It was struck off the Register of Companies in 2005 by the Registrar of Companies because its directors failed to file annual returns (see below). He was also director of two other such companies that have been struck off the register due to his failure to file annual returns (see below).

Mr John Carr CPA states on his website that he has gained certification (CFE) as a Fraud Examiner, USA (www.carr.co.nz/ ).
