Crow represents himself in High Court in sex toy appeal

August 26, 2010 by SPCS Leave a Comment

25 August 2010 Stuff News

Kiwi pornographer Steve Crow turned lawyer for a day in the High Court at Auckland in a scrap over a whopping bill owed to a sex toy and DVD company in Australia.

Calvista Australia Pty, which has an office in Auckland, says it is owed for goods supplied to Crow’s companies in New Zealand. It had earlier won a judgment by default in the Auckland District Court for A$39,897.36 with certain conditions which meant he has to put up the money as security while he continues disputing the case.

Steve Crow’s “Boobs on Bikes” – “puerile, dismally witless and calulatedly offensive” – Sunday NZ Herald Editorial Opinion

August 16, 2010 by SPCS Leave a Comment

Writer of the Sunday NZ Herald Editorial suggests “…the [Boobs on Bikes] parade is best treated like the show-off child it so much resembles – by being ignored.” The writer is adamant that the massive billboard of a naked woman Steve, his bother David Bruce Crow of Inglewood and sister Leanne Marie Osborn of Fitzroy, New Plymouth, used to cynically market the Erotica Lifestyles Expo porn sleaze, was calculated to offend.

“But the billboard that expo organiser Steve Crow unveiled this week is of a different order [to the parade] altogether. By any measure, the image is objectionable in a public context and you don’t have to be a purse-lipped prude to think so.

“Puerile and dismally witless, it is also quite calculatedly offensive because it seeks not to attract those who are interested but to outrage those who are not.

“Hard-core pornography  – You know it when you see it … it is beyond distasteful and truly offensive

“Crow is terribly pleased with himself because of all the publicity he’s received. But the rest of us should make it plain what we think of this sort of cynical marketing.”

Naked Woman Billboard ruled unnacceptable – NZPA

August 11, 2010 by SPCS Leave a Comment

NZPA 11/00/2010

The billboard image of a naked woman on all fours with a large arrow provocatively placed below her and preceded by the words “entrance this way” was an unacceptable way to advertise the Erotica Lifestyles Expo, the Advertising Standards Authority decided.

The Erotica Expo, promoted by [the hardcore porn company] Eden Digital and its former director, porn tycoon Steve Crow, is an adult entertainment convention held annually. Steve Crow resigned from the company in May. [John Malcolm Carr has remained on as its sole director].

Steve Crow – banned director – promotes Eden Digital Ltd porn sleaze on Queen Street tomorrow

August 10, 2010 by SPCS Leave a Comment

John Malcolm Carr, a San Antonio Texas based businessman, is the sole director of Eden Digital Ltd, the hardcore porn company behind the porn promo street event that will be staged tomorrow (Wednesday 11 August) on Queen Street, Auckland, commencing 12.30 pm and designed to titillate and offend the public in the CBD. A significant media contingent is expected the next day (Thursday) at 9 am at Courtroom 5 of the Auckland District Court to see the same Mr John Malcolm Carr face eight serious criminal charges brought against him as company director by the Ministry of Economic Development (MED) for his alleged breaches of the Financial Reporting Act 1993. Steve Crow, banned company director, promotes porn sleaze on city streets

August 6, 2010 by SPCS Leave a Comment

On Wednesday 11th August at 12.30 pm banned company director Steve Crow and Miss Erotica 2010 will be heading a parade of scorpion tanks, motorcycles with bare-breasted pillions and vehicles down Queen Street Auckland – in order to promote Crow’s failing hardcore pornography empire. Eden Digital Ltd directed by John Malcolm Carr, a San Antonio Texas based CPA, is the business entity linked to the parade of tawdry titillation that promotes a forthcoming three day event – Erotica Lifestyles Expo – featuring a collection of imported US-based porn stars, sex toys and lewd acts. On Thursday 12th August at 12.30 pm the same boringly predictable parade will head through Hamilton city streets.

Steve Crow is intending to hand out $250,000 worth of free vouchers to those attending the porn parades, so they can purchase hard core pornography DVDs marketed by his failing business Vixen Direct. [Read more…]
